The Kelty Transit TC 2.5 carrier has all the features that you need to really use this dual daypack and child carrier to its full potential. It can be used as a normal backpack for carrying around you or your child’s goodies. Then, it can be converted easily into a soft back child carrier for everyday or day trip use.

The large main compartment has adjustable straps which are padded and contoured. There’s plenty of storage in the removable front pocket and the padded waist belt. The internal aluminum frame helps with load support, as does the load lift straps. Also included are a changing pad, safety harness for your child, an adjustable torso slide that fits sizes between 13” and 18” and child view mirror.

The dual purpose Kelty Kids Transit TC 2.0 carrier is made for everyday urban use but can also stand up to more rugged trails too. If you’re in the market for a child back carrier designed for light hiking or use around the city, the TC 2.0 is a good idea. First, the TC 2.0 can be used as a normal daypack. • The only difference is that the TC 2.5 comes with some great extras - the TC Sun/Rain Hood, Changing Pad and Child-View Mirror
• The TC 2.5 obviously costs a bit more for the extra features

Differences between the TC 2.0 and the TC 1.0:

• The TC 1.0 will not work with the Kelty TC Sun/Rain Hood accessory but it can be purchased separately to work with the TC 2.0
• The TC 1.0 does not have an internal aluminum frame, making the pack lighter weight but less suited for longer day trips or hikes.  The absence of an internal frame also means you will not be able to load the child in the carrier on your own, it’s a 2-person job with the TC 1.0.
• The TC 1.0 does not have a torso adjustment so it will not fit every body type out there. 
• The TC 1.0 is the most basic model with a price tag that matches

The Kelty Kids Transit TC 1.0 is a simple and versatile carrier that can be used either as an everyday backpack or a child carrier. Out of the Transit Carrier series, it is the most basic and most modestly priced. The TC 1.0 cuts down on the bulk and provides a lightweight carrier for casual use, but probably isn’t the best choice for serious hiking.

Included features with the Kelty TC 1.0 are the large main compartment for storage. The removable front pocket adds storage for diapers, wipes, bottles or toys. The 5-point safety harness is great for both safety and comfort. A padded and contoured adult suspension system help ease the strain on you, as do the padded shoulded strap, back panel and storable waist belt—which also has a small storage compartment.

Compare the Kelty Kids Transit Carriers:

• The TC 1.0 doesn’t have torso adjustment like the TC 2.0 and TC 2.5.  This means it won’t fit all body types comfortably.
