Are Needle-Free insulin injections an accepted alternative to needles?

The Medi-Jector Vision is a precision needle-free drug delivery system with an advanced design and modern styling, making it smaller, lighter, and less expensive than previous models. The Medi-Jector Vision uses pressure to create a micro-thin stream of insulin that penetrates the skin and is deposited into the subcutaneous (fatty) tissue in a fraction of a second.

How does it work?

The Medi-Jector VISION^TM uses a mechanical spring to push the prescribed dose of medication through a tiny hole in a Needle-Free Syringe. In only a fraction of a second, a thin column of insulin easily penetrates the skin and is dispersed into the fatty tissue

How to use Medi-Jector:

Three easy steps:

Each box contains six sterile needle-free syringes to deliver up to 126 insulin injections using the Medi-Jector VISION® Needle-Free Injection System.

Each Medi-Jector VISION® Needle-Free Syringe can be used for up to 21 doses of insulin or 14 days before it must be replaced. The syringes are available in three different sizes (A, B, and C). The difference among them is the size of the opening or "orifice" in the tip of the Needle-Free Syringe, and the size you will use is determined by your skin type. You will start with size "A" and receive some very simple instructions on how to determine if you should move to a different size. People with softer or thinner skin typically can inject with a smaller orifice size whereas those with thicker or tougher skin will often need a slightly larger orifice to inject with the Medi-Jector VISION.

The Medi-Jector Vision® Disposable Vial Adapter is attached to the top of a vial of insulin and is then attached to the Medi-Jector VISION®. Insulin is drawn into the Needle-Free Syringe by dialing in the prescribed dose. The Vial Adapter, which is a connector that enables one to withdraw insulin fron a vial without using a needle, is usually thrown away with the insulin vial when the vial is empty or expired.

The Medi-Jector VISION® Vial Adapter connects directly and permanently to the insulin vial and enables the drawing of the insulin into the Needle-Free Syringe on the Injector.
