Temperature Controlled Carrying Case for HeartStart FR2 Plus

With the Philips Temperature Control Carrying Case, you can safely store your HeartStart FR2-series Defibrillator in the trunk or storage compartment of a vehicle during extreme winter and summer temperatures. It provides protection from temperatures as low as –20°F (-29ºC) and as high as 140°F (60ºC), perfect for utility trucks, police cruisers and other vehicles in which heating or air conditioning isn’t always available. The case’s thermostat-regulated heater can be powered by a 12-volt vehicle battery, while the built-in cut-off module turns off the heater before it depletes the battery. And a thick foam insulation layer slows the heating effect of hot summer days

This Lithium-Ion battery is fully charged (using the Charger M3849A) in just 3 hours to provide 100 shocks (typical) or 5 hours (typical) of ECG display time. The "fuel gauge" on the FR2+ displays the battery's remaining power. Under normal conditions, the FR2+ Rechargeable Battery withstands 300 charge-discharge cycles or 2.5 years of use.

The Defibrillator Cabinet, constructed of heavy gauge steel and tempered glass, protects your defibrillator from theft and the elements. Equipped with an audible alarm and flashing lights (powered by two 9-volt alkaline batteries), the Cabinet attracts attention to mobilize assistance during a cardiac emergency or deter theft. Opening the Cabinet's door activates the audible alarm and lights. For locations where a siren is inappropriate, the audible alarm can be disabled.

In buildings with a central security system, your facilities people, or alarm company, can connect the cabinet alarm to your system for a more coordinated response to a cardiac emergency. The alarm can also be connected to a programmable auto-dialer.

The Cabinet is available in two styles: a wall surface mounted Cabinet, for easy installation without cutting into walls, and a semi-recessed model, that is inserted into a wall cut-out, for a less obtrusive look. The semi-recessed model is appropriate where Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations are a consideration.*

Wall Mount Bracket

The wall mount bracket is designed specifically for housing the Philips Heart Start defibrillator and its accessories. HeartStart OnSite's carrying case can be tethered to the wall mount bracket with the Secure Pull Seal (M3859A) to discourage tampering. A broken seal indicates that the defibrillator has been removed from the Wall Mount and accessories may need to be replenished.

Data Card & Tray

The Philips data card holds approximately 8 hours of incident and ECG information, or one hour with voice recording. One card can hold data from multiple cases. A flash data card reader enables data transfer from the card to a personal computer for use with Philips HeartStart Event Review data management software.

HeartStart Adult AED Defibrillator Pads, 2- or 6-pack recommended for patients 8-years and older, or above 55 pounds (25kg), are optimized for AED use with Philips FR2-series defibrillators. Constructed of a thin flexible conductor sandwiched between a protective polymer backing and a hydro-gel adhesive, these pads withstand the rigors of CPR and harsh conditions. Soft, flexible and oval shaped, HeartStart Adult AED Pads conform to body contours for ample surface contact and adhesion. The robust lead wire connector is ergonomically designed, enabling fast and easy insertion.

Infant/Child AED Defibrillator Pads

Infant/Child Reduced-Energy Defibrillator Pads enable minimally trained responders to safely and promptly defibrillate infants and children under 8 years of age or 55 pounds. These special infant/child pads contain electronics that attenuate, or reduce, the energy of the defibrillator's shock from 150 to 50 Joules, an appropriate dosage of SMART Biphasic therapy for infants and small children.* And the FR2-series defibrillator can evaluate children's heart rhythms with outstanding accuracy for appropriate shock/no-shock decisions.**

The pads' design was carefully thought out to ensure that, even for the most inexperienced user under the most stressful circumstances, it is instantly obvious that these pads are for children and infants only. This helps ensure that the correct pads are chosen when you need to be prepared to treat both adults and children. Infant / Child Key for HeartStart FRx

Infant/child key used in infant/child defibrillation with the HeartStart FRx Defibrillator. Simply insert the Infant/Child Key into the FRx to signal to the device that you’re treating an infant or a child. The defibrillator adjusts to provide special pads placement and CPR instructions. The pads icons also flash to show you the appropriate pads placement and the device reduces the shock energy to a level more appropriate for an infant or a child (less than 55 pounds or 8 years of age).

Fast Response Kit

The Fast Response Kit contains tools and supplies typically needed for patient care and personal protection: 2 pairs of hypoallergenic nitrile gloves, a Laerdal pocket breathing mask, paramedic scissors, a Gallant chest hair razor, and a large extra-absorbent paper towel. These items are contained in a 5-1/2" x 9-1/2" zippered pouch which can be attached to the handle of the semi-rigid or vinyl carrying cases.
