KidCo has assembled the materials and fasteners necessary to install any child safety gate to wood banisters, hollow wall, drywall or wrought iron. The Gate Installation Kit will save you time and money. Since a one size fits all gate design does not exist, Kidco has developed their Gate Installation Kit to virtually fit their gates in any room opening or doorway in your home.

The beauty of todays homes is the diversity of designs and materials used for stairways, room openings and doorways. The installation of child safety gates can be difficult since a one size fits all gate design does not exist. KidCo has assembled the materials and fasteners necessary to properly install any child safety gate to wood bannisters, hollow wall (drywall) or wrought iron. The KidCo Gate Installation Kit can save several trips to the lumber yard and hardware store. When mounting the gates to unusual surfaces such as brick or concrete, KidCo recommends that you consult a hardware professional, baby shop or baby proofing specialist.
One kit is required for each side of the gate that is not being mounted into a solid vertical wood surface and only the most basic tools are needed to assemble any good child safety gate.

KidCo G-Y Y Spindle For Pressure Mounted Gates

Many homes have staircases that arent bordered by a wall. In this case the Y spindle aids installation of the pressure mounted gates to these types of staircases. The Y spindle wraps around the baluster to provide a secure installation.
On the Gateway® (G-11, G-14), use Y spindles only on the hinge side of the gate. No more than 2 per gate can be used.
On the Center Gateway® models (G-15, G-35), the Y spindle can be used on either side of the gate. However, they must be used on the same side. No more than 2 per gate can be used.
NOTE: For installation of a pressure-mounted gate on a staircase with ballusters on both sides, you will need to use a K10 Installation Kit.

The Kidco Extra Tall Center Gateway 5.5" Extension (G16-5.5) is designed to work with the Kidco Extra Tall Center Gateway pressure-mounted gate. The G16-5.5 installs quickly and does not damage walls.
One extension can be added for an opening 37.25" to 42.75".
Two extensions can be added for an opening of 42.5" to 48".
No more than two optional extension kits per gate are recommended.
Constructed of strong tubular steel and 42 inches tall, the Kidco Extra Tall Center Gateway is great for kids and pets.
